Ouluntull's Rock Monkey

Ouluntull's Kalliomonttu is an old rock quarry area that has been restored as a swimming beach. The beach is situated in a sheltered location with good access from the Ouluntull service station area and Kokkokankaanti road. The water in the quarry is clear groundwater that seeps from the bottom, keeping the water cool even on hot days. The beach is equipped with changing rooms and three diving platforms. A shallow water area for children is also separated from the beach. Elsewhere, the water depth is at best more than 8 m, which also allows diving. Ouluntull beach is classified as an EU beach and has an excellent rating.
